DBS Bank Logo – DBS Bank Ltd is a bank registered in Singapore. It was previously known as The Development Bank of Singapore Limited (Development Bank of Singapore), until the present name was adopted in July 2003 to reflect the changing role to become a regional bank.
The bank was created in 1968 as a financial institution development of the Singapore government. Currently has over 100 branches spread throughout the island. DBS Bank is the largest bank in Southeast Asia by assets and is among the largest banks in Asia. It has a dominant market position in the areas of consumer banking, treasury shares and securities markets, asset management, brokerage, and collection of debt in Singapore and Hong Kong.
In 1998, DBS Bank merged with Posbank , providing a dominant market position with more than four million customers. DBS has branches in China, Dubai, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, United Kingdom and United States.
