  • The 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW diesel units are configured for Canadian contractors, with CSA and UN31A compliance and onboard 600V output on the largest model.
  • Aggreko has introduced three Tier 4 Final diesel generator models for remote Canadian work sites, including a 1200 kW unit with direct 600V output. The company says the range is designed for low emissions, fuel efficiency and temporary power across data centre, construction, mining and other applications.

Aggreko has expanded its Canadian fleet with three Tier 4 Final diesel generators designed for remote work sites. The models are available at 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW in 600V configurations and are offered exclusively to Canadian contractors, according to the company.

All three units are CSA and UN31A compliant, Aggreko says, meeting Canadian electrical and fuel regulations. The company describes the generators as combining current Aggreko emissions and control technology with hardware configured for Canadian market and regulatory requirements.

The largest model, rated at 1200 kW, includes onboard 600V capability. Aggreko says this removes the need for separate step-up transformers. Direct 600V output is intended to reduce project complexity, improve cost-efficiency and limit potential points of failure. The company positions the unit for large industrial loads where 600V is often required, and says the configuration can give customers a competitive advantage in those applications.

Paul Nascimento, Aggreko's managing director for Canada, said the Canada-specific line reflects the importance of the market to the company. He cited large petrochemical and mining operations spread across remote territory, as well as construction and data centres, as sources of demand for powerful energy systems tailored to local conditions. He said the generators pair Aggreko's latest technology with hardware suited to Canadian operating requirements.

The 145 kW and 210 kW sets are canopy units intended for immediate deployment, while the 1200 kW model is aimed at heavier industrial demand. The additions sit within a Canadian fleet that ranges from 25 kW to 1200 kW and is supported by Aggreko service centres. The company says its specialists work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events on temporary power deployments.

Aggreko is also targeting data centre operators. It says provincial regulators are examining limits on how much power data centres can draw from the grid, and that Tier 4 Final generators can supply off-grid energy while keeping disruption to communities low. The company claims all three models provide strong fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and controlled noise levels that exceed local requirements. These are manufacturer claims; the source material does not include independent test results or operating data.

For remote sites, compliance and packaging matter alongside capacity. CSA and UN31A compliance address Canadian electrical and fuel rules, while Tier 4 Final status addresses emissions. Aggreko says the units are designed to meet and exceed local market needs. The company also says the 1200 kW model's direct 600V design can reduce complexity and potential failure points for large loads. Those benefits are presented as design intentions and company assessments, not as verified field results.
