Mace Construct has announced that it will adopt the Forco name after the New Year, following its separation from Mace Consult in March. The two businesses became separate operations earlier this year under an agreement that allowed Mace Consult to retain the Mace brand.
The contractor described the new name as concise, strong and easy to pronounce. It will continue to trade as Mace Construct until the end of the year, then move to Forco alongside a new corporate strategy. That strategy is to be unveiled with the name change and will include productivity targets through 2030.
Mark Reynolds, executive chair, said the business had spent 35 years raising standards and helping to drive the industry forward. He said the new name represented a commitment to becoming the UK's most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030. Those productivity targets are aims for the coming years, not results already achieved.
Reynolds also sought to reassure clients that the change would not alter the company's culture, values or people. He said clients could expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create lasting places and infrastructure. The rebrand therefore combines a new identity with continuity in how the contractor operates and works with clients.
