Aiwa Logo – Aiwa was a consumer electronics company that had its heyday during the decades of global 1970 and 1980 selling audio and video equipment household. It pioneered in the country in selling radio recorders and Mini Systems with cassette , digital audio tape (DAT) and headphone stereo , among others. In 2006 officially ended the sale of Aiwa and 2009 ended the support that Sony gave these products.

Despite the refloating, Aiwa again suffered financial problems due to stiff competition in international markets and the low acceptance of their products among consumers. By the end of the decade and the arrival of digital media audio and video, Aiwa was relegated in the markets, falling into bankruptcy in the year 2002 . At that time it was acquired completely by Sony Corporation that capitalized and tried again reposition the brand from consumers. However, Aiwa’s sales never reached their best times, which is why since 2004 suffered a slow process of disappearance with cancellations in many of its assembly lines for products from Sony itself.
