The Indian financial daily The Economic Times also reported that Bajaj is interested in acquiring a European brand like Triumph or Ducati .
In November 2007, Bajaj Auto acquired 49% stake in KTM (motorcycle manufacturer from Austria). The two companies signed a cooperation agreement, whereby KTM provides expertise in developing 4-stroke water-cooled 125 and 250 cc while Bajaj will take over the distribution of KTM products in India and other countries Southeast Asia.
