Chicago Bears Logo — The Chicago Bears are a team in the NFL in Chicago, Illinois. They are members of the North Division of the National Conference (NFC) and is based in the stadium Soldier Field. It is one of the oldest teams in the league, founded in 1919 as the Decatur Staleys, in fact Chicago was one of the founding teams of the league of American football career, the current NFL. In 1921 he won his first league championship. His best season was in 1930 and in 1940 winning six league championships. Among his most important players are George S. Halas (Papa Bear, founder, player and coach for years), Gale Sayers, Mike Singletary, ‘Walter Payton, Dick Butkus, Mike Ditka, Richard Dent.
They were the winners of the Super Bowl in 1985. They played their last Super Bowl season in 2006, losing in Miami against the Indianapolis Colts. Currently counted as outstanding players to Brian Urlacher (linebacker medium), Tommie Harris (defensive tackle), Greg Olsen (Tight end), Devin Hester, receiver and returner for punts and kickoffs, and the emerging figure of Matt Forte (running back) in his rookie season managed to carry the weight of the attack of the team during the season.
The Bears have 26 members in the Hall of Fame Pro Football, although five of them played only a small portion of their careers in Chicago. George Halas, Bronko Nagurski and Red Grange belong to the first generation of players elected to Hall of Fame in 1963, while defensive end Dan Hampton, the Bear who was most recently elected, was part of the Class of 2002.
