Djarum Logo — PT Djarum is a company of cigarettes in Indonesia, based in the Holy, Central Java, Indonesia. Djarum history began when Oei Wie Gwan buy a small business in the field of cigarettes called Djarum Gramophon in 1951 and changed its name to Djarum. Initially the company was just the street by about 10 people in New Bitingan No way. 28 (Now: Jalan A. Yani No.. 28).

Oei began marketing cigarettes with the brand “Djarum” which was successful in the market. After a fire nearly destroyed the company in 1963 (Oei died shortly afterwards), Djarum back up and modernize equipment in the factory. In the year 1972 began Djarum cigarette export the products overseas. Three years later the market Djarum Djarum Filter, which produced its first brand to use the machine, followed by Djarum Super brand which was introduced in 1981.
