It was founded on July 8 of 1983 (1945, Club Getafe Deportivo) and plays in the Primera Division in Spain. On April 21 of 2011 was made official by an investment group Dubai (UAE), Royal Emirates Group, the purchase of sporting society. This information is confirmed on April 25 of 2011 by club president Angel Torres Sanchez at a press conference. This Agreement shall enter into force as of July 1st of 2012.
Getafe CF is the current heir to the defunct Club Getafe Deportivo founded in December 1945 by several local residents gathered in the late bar The Marquee although officially the team’s founding date is February 24 of 1946 (66 years) a ceremony in Film Palacios.
