Granada CF Logo — The Granada Football Club is a sports corporation of the city of Granada, Andalucia, Spain. It was founded on April 6 of 1931 and currently plays in the Primera Division in Spain. The Granada CF is in position 26 of the historical classification by points of the First Division, which has participated in 18 seasons, achieving 6th place twice. It has also been runner-up Cup.
The club currently has about 15,500 subscribers, since due to the size of the stadium could only get 4,000 new members of the 32,680 applications received. Is planned to build a new stadium for 40,000 spectators if the equipment is consolidated in First division.
On April 6 of 1931 was founded the Recreational Club Granada, being registered on 14th of that month in the Register of Associations in Civil Government, by the first president, Julio Lopez Fernandez, as was required submitted its Board of Directors. Coincidentally, that day was proclaimed in Spain the Second Republic. That group of brave lacked nothing but his love of football, a few shirts and pants, half a dozen pairs of boots, three balls and the support of the players. During the season there were three Boards.
