HKS Logo — HKS is the first automobile tuner Japanese. The company was founded by Hiroyuki Hasegawa and M. Kitagawa in 1973, with capital contribution from Sigma Automotive Co., Ltd.., hence the name “HKS” (Hasegawa Kitagawa Sigma-). Involved in motor racing, HKS is illustrated in Japan Super GT, Super Taikyu, D1GP, or rally, but also dragster.
The company offers a wide range of parts “performance” directly from the competition exhausts, transmissions, fuel injectors, pistons, turbos, turbo timers, boost controlers, cylinder heads, camshafts, etc. In 1982, the company moved to the United States by establishing HKS USA, Inc. In 2004, the group and the manufacturer HKS Nissan have created a car drift based on the Nissan Silvia, called HKS Genki Hyper Silvia RS2.
