Koenigsegg Logo — Koenigsegg is a small Swedish manufacturer of automobiles founded in 1993 in the Swedish city of Angelholm. Since 1993 is directed by its founder, Christian von Koenigsegg, which began with the creation of his own sports car at age 23. The company employs just 38 people, with the collaboration of several companies, all Swedish and Koenigsegg.

The current production does not exceed two units per month, though officials said the brand could increase the rate up to four units per month. On June 16, 2009 General Motors and Koenigsegg confirmed the details of the agreement that Koenigsegg is the owner of Saab.

The first model manufactured by this brand was the Koenigsegg CC, followed by the Koenigsegg CC8S and subsequently by the Koenigsegg CCR of 806 hp. Continuity is assured as it is in production on Koenigsegg CCX designed especially for the American market, and the Koenigsegg CCXR biofuel using E85. There are also limited edition versions of these models, which are projected to make 14 and 6 CCXR CCX, but the global economic crisis has led to only build 2 and 4 CCX CCXR, of 888 hp and 1018 hp respectively, the engine both have 5.0 L and dual turbocharger.
