Lazio Logo — The Società Sportiva Lazio , commonly known as Lazio , is a sports club in Italy , the city of Rome . It was founded in 1900 and plays in the Serie A Italian league. His opponent is the other team in the Italian capital, the AS Roma . So far he has twice won the Serie A five times won the Italian Cup and three times the Super Cup in his country. Outside, the Lazio won on one occasion the Cup Winners Cup and Super Cup , both in 1999 and reached the final of the UEFA Cup in 1998 .
Stadio Olimpico, located at the Foro Italico, is the largest stadium in Rome, Italy. It is the home stadium of the National Football Team of Italy, they play at home the two city teams SS Lazio and AS Roma. The stadium was opened in 1937 and later in 2008 had a makeover. The stadium has a capacity to accommodate 72,698 spectators. It was the stadium that hosted the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960. It has also hosted major events such as Euro 1980, Italy 1990 World Cup and Champions League final as the 2009 where they faced FC Barcelona and Manchester United.
Also at the Foro Italico is the Stadio dei Marmi, or “marble stadium”, which was built in 1932 and designed by Enrico Del Debbio. It has 60 levels, crowned by a white marble statues that were gifts from Italian cities in commemoration of 60 athletes. During the 1989-90 season, SS Lazio and AS Roma played their home games at the Stadio Flaminio in Rome, located in the Flaminio district, because of the renovation work carried out at the Stadio Olimpico. The principal of SS Lazio ultras are located in North Bend Stadium, known as Irriducibili and make rivalry with AS Roma ultras found in South Bend stadium known as Commando Ultra Curva Sud.
