Pink Floyd began with great success at the scene underground London in the late sixties , with as main songwriter Syd Barrett. After the trial, Waters obtained the exclusive rights to all the imagery deployed in concert (including their famous flying pig) and rights to the audiovisual show of The Wall (excluding the three items for the work Gilmour wrote: “Young Lust “” Run Like Hell “and” Comfortably Numb “) and on all topics included inThe Final Cut , while the rest of the group could continue using the same name.
After overcoming these legal problems, Gilmour, Mason and Wright enjoyed commercial success with A Momentary Lapse of Reason ( 1987 ), an album in which Wright participated as an employee and not as keyboardist band member, and The Division Bell ( 1994 ) , last studio album of the group that appeared and Gilmour, Mason and Wright as members of the band. Waters, meanwhile, embarked on a solo career and not reunited with Pink Floyd until 24 years later, on July 2nd of 2005 in the concert Live 8 in London .
