Sprite Logo — Sprite is a famous world-renowned brand of soft drink flavored with lemon and without caffeine produced by the company “The Coca-Cola Company.” Was the response from Coca-Cola against the popularity of 7Up, which began as “lithiated Lemon” in 1929. Sprite cans mainly comes in green and blue or green transparent bottle with a label mostly green and blue. Currently, Sprite is sold in over 190 countries.
In the 1980’s, many years after its introduction, Coca-Cola pressured its large bottlers, who distributed 7 Up, to replace the competition with their own product. Thanks in large part to the strength of the system bottlers Coca-Cola, Sprite was able to lead the market sales of lemon-lime soft drink in 1989. It’s called lemonade in Australia, United Kingdom, New Zealand and Switzerland.
In 1974 Light was launched Sprite and Sprite sales but do not stop growing since 1998, the Coca-Cola Company decided to rename Light Sprite “Sprite Zero” in an effort to increase sales. In Venezuela this drink was sold until 1997, when it is absorbed by similar Chinotto. The latter brand is owned by Hit de Venezuela, which was acquired by Coca-Cola.
In Colombia and other countries, its current slogan is “the way things are” in Chile in January 2010 were released variations of Sprite Zero, featuring a male and another for women.
