Spyker Logo — Spyker Cars NV is a manufacturer of automotive Dutch. It has no link with the former Spyker born in 1914, which went bankrupt in 1929. The new company Spyker Cars took over the brand name “Spyker”. Its motto is “Nulla tenaci invia is via”, which in Latin means “For the tenacious, no road is impassable.”
The company was founded by Victor Muller and Maarten de Bruijn. Muller, born in 1959 in the Netherlands, is an officer of the company. Great collector of old cars, he began a legal career in 1984 with the firm of Caron & Stevens / Baker & McKenzie of Amsterdam. From 1992, he acquired and restructured several companies including Emergo Group Fashion Group BV which became famous under the name McGregor. Spyker, he is in charge of strategy while de Bruijn handles car design.
Since 2000, Spyker Cars built sports cars upscale all-aluminum and hand as the C8 and the C8 Laviolette. The mechanics are Audi. Every detail of the vehicles, in addition to the logo, evokes the past of aircraft engine manufacturer of the brand Spyker. The C8 Laviolette is enlivened by a motor German brand Audi, a V8 of 4172 cm 3 delivering 400 hp and a top speed of 300 km / h. The C8 will be approved in July 2005 for the U.S. market. In 2005, Maarten de Bruijn left the company.
