Acura Logo — Acura is a brand used by the manufacturer Japanese in car Honda in the United States, Canada and Hong Kong since March 1986, to attack the market for luxury cars. The brand was introduced in Mexico in 2004 and in China in 2006. It also plans to introduce Acura to the Japanese domestic market in 2008. With the Acura brand, Honda leads the way to being the first Japanese luxury car market outside Japan. Before Acura, automobiles exported from Japan were primarily economical design for low-cost consumers.
In 1990, four years after the debut of the Legend and Integra, Acura introduced the NSX, a sporty rear-drive V6. His name is an acronym for N ew S ports and X perimental and presented as the first Japanese car capable of competing with Ferrari and Porsche. This vehicle was the flagship of the Acura brand in addition to the first production made entirely of aluminum.
