Baileys Logo — Baileys Irish Cream (Baileys Irish Cream) is a liqueur based on Scotch Irish and cream, made by RA Bailey & Co. of Dublin, Ireland. The brand is now owned by Diageo. As indicated, its alcohol content is 17% by volume. Introduced in 1974, Baileys was the first liquor Irish cream on the market. Currently the number of spirits of this kind has been increasing.
Baileys was the first to combine cream liquor and alcohol in a manner sufficiently stable to allow its commercialization. Whiskey and cream are homogenized to form an emulsion, with the aid of an emulsifier containing refined vegetable oil. This process prevents separation of the whiskey and cream during storage. The proportion of the rest of the ingredients used is not known, but includes chocolate, vanilla, caramel, sugar and cinnamon. More
