BV Borussia Dortmund was founded on December 19, 1909 at the hands of workers in a Catholic parish. The name comes from a brewery Borussia Dortmund. At first, playing in the “Gauliga Westfalen”. He was the last champion of Germany before the founding of the Bundesliga, German Football League in 1963. The two previous championships in 1956 and 1957 Borussia achieved with exactly the same lineup of players. That was a unique ocassion in German football.
