Geox Logo — Geox is a brand Italian shoes breathable and resistant to liquids. The company was founded in the 1990’s by Mario Moretti Polegato. The brand name comes from the union of the Greek geo (earth, we walk), and x, a letter-element symbolizing technology.

On a trip to Reno, Nevada (USA) to promote the wines produced by his family in a wine industry conference, Mario Moretti Polegato decided to go take a hike. With discomfort caused by the overheating of your feet caused by his rubber-soled shoes I was wearing, he instinctively pierced the soles with a knife.
