Green Bay Packers Logo — The Green Bay Packers are a professional football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. They are members of the Northern Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). They are the third oldest franchise in the NFL. The Packers were founded in 1919 by Earl “Curly” Lambeau (for it was renamed the stadium where they play “Lambeau Field”) and George Whitney Calhoun and included in the American Professional Football Association (APFA), the forerunner of what we now know and NFL, in 1921.
The Green Bay Packers have won thirteen league championships (more than any other team), including nine NFL Championships, competition prior to the current Super Bowl, and four Super Bowls in 1967 (Super Bowl I), 1968 (Super Bowl II), 1997 (Super Bowl XXXI) and 2011 (Super Bowl XLV). This team has a rivalry with the Chicago Bears, who has played against most of cientosetenta games (record of fighting in the NFL). The Packers also maintain a rivalry with the Minnesota Vikings, who share space with the Packers in the NFC North Division and the Dallas Cowboys, who are commonly known as the biggest rival of the Packers in the playoffs, after the Packers beat them at the famous Ice Bowl.
