It is currently the eighth and eleventh Asia airport in the world in number of passengers, freight and fifth in the world. The airport is a hub for airlines Air Korean , Asiana Airlines , and Cargo 360 . The airport was opened in early 2001 , replacing the Gimpo International Airport in its role as operator of international flights. Currently, only Gimpo Airport operates flights within the country, with the exception of flights to Haneda Airport in Tokyo .
