Kenwood Logo — Kenwood Corporation is a manufacturer Japanese equipment for amateur radio and Hi-Fi and portable audio equipment. The company began in 1946 with the name “Kasuga Radio Co. Ltd”. In Komagane City, Prefecture of Nagano, Japan. In 1960 the company was renamed “Trio Corporation”. In 1963 saw the founding of the first overseas office of Trio in Los Angeles, California, USA.
In the 1960’s, LaFayette Radio Company, sold Trio products, unfortunately focusing on 23 radio channels for Citizens’ Band. Their hi-fi components dating back to the time of the valves, with your stereo receiver and amplifier frequency adjustment dials have 2 separate tuners and 2, some of whom tune in a multi-carrier radio in AM.
