LG Logo — LG Group is a company of South Korea that manufactures electronic products , mobile phones and petrochemical products and operates subsidiaries like LG Electronics . Established in 1947 , assumed the abbreviated name “LG” in 1995 . LG is an abbreviation of “Lucky Goldstar” (럭키 금성) in South Korea, which has been translated into English as Lucky Venus ( Goldstar ). Before, many of its electronic products were sold under the brand name Goldstar, while other household products (not available outside South Korea ) were sold under the trademark “Lucky”. The latter was famous for household cleaners and detergents for clothes in Korea . Before massive industrialization of South Korean society, the name Lucky was synonymous with toothpaste. More
