Parallels Logo — Parallels Desktop for Mac to the firm Parallels, Inc. is an application Virtualization running Mac OS X (for Macintosh equipped with a processor Intel) Linux and Windows. It lets you run Windows or other operating system using a type processor x86 Mac.
Since the passage of Apple to Intel processors, a lot of software to run an operating system -compatible x86 ( Windows being the most common) on Mac OS X have emerged. Parallels Desktop for Mac is one of the main players this market, along with VMWare. Boot Camp in turn creates a partition for Windows.
