Pittsburgh Steelers Logo — The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team of professional football in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Currently belong to the North Division of the American Conference (AFC) of the NFL. The team has appeared in 8 Super Bowl, winning six of them. Originally called the Pittsburgh Pirates, the team with the Philadelphia Eagles and the now defunct Cincinnati Reds, joined as expansion teams in the NFL in 1933. The team was renamed the Steelers in 1941 in honor of the most important industry of the city (of steel).
