Real Mallorca Logo — The Real Club Deportivo Mallorca is a club of football of Spain, located in the city of Palma de Mallorca in the Balearic Islands. It was founded in 1916 and plays in the Primera Division in Spain. Mallorca was founded in 1916 under the name of Alfonso XIII FBC. The first stage, the Campo de Buenos Aires, opened with a game against FC Barcelona resulting in a victory for the visitors 0-8. The Alfonso XIII played his first game against Lluro Mataro and the result was 1-1. On June 28 of that year the King Alfonso XIII honored the team with the title of Royal Society so the team changed its name to Real Sociedad Alfonso XIII.

In 1917, the Catalan Federation admitted the Real Sociedad Alfonso XIII to take part in the Second League Championship champion as informal Baleares. The Mallorca team reached the final played in Barcelona against Palafrugell who won 3-1 and making his first title. In 1931 it changed its name to RCD Mallorca. On September 22 of 1945, opens Es Forti, new stadium of RCD Mallorca. This season the board decided to rename the stadium imposing the Lluís Sitjar, the person who three years earlier had prompted the construction of the field. In 1960, RCD Mallorca gets his first promotion to the Division of Honour, with Juan Carlos Lorenzo Jaime Rossello coach and president. More
