Vancouver Canucks Logo — Vancouver Canucks is a professional team of ice hockey Canada which sits in the city of Vancouver (British Columbia). It was created in 1945 as an amateur team, and after passing through two minor league reached the National Hockey League in 1970. His nickname Canuck is a slang term used to refer to any individual in Canada. The team plays in the National Hockey League, framed in the Northwest Division.
Although the Vancouver franchise entered the NHL in 1970, the city had its first professional team in 1911 : the Vancouver Millionaires, who got in its history five Stanley Cup, being the last one in 1915. When that team disappeared in 1926, the town had several minor league teams. One of them, the Vancouver Canucks, was established in 1945 as a whole amateur racing in the Pacific Coast Hockey League. In 1952 he joined the so-called Western Hockey League (not to be confused with the WHL professional), which won four titles in 1958, 1960, 1969 and 1970. More
