University of Sydney Logo — The University of Sydney is a university located in Sydney, Australia. It is the oldest university in the nation, having been founded in 1850. From 2009 the institution had 47.775 students, making it the second largest university in Australia. It is one of the largest and most renowned universities in the country, as well as throughout Oceania.
The core campus, whose architecture is inspired by that of Oxbridge, lies in the rough land that extend through the suburbs of Camperdown and Darlington southwest of Sydney’s central business district. Furthermore, the university encompasses a number of other small campus obtained from other organizations in the past 20 years, such as the “Sydney Conservatorium of Music” or “College of the Arts in Sydney.” The University of Sydney is a member of the “Group of Eight” (Australian universities), the Consortium Acedémico 21 of the Association of Universities of the Pacific Rim and the Worldwide Universities Network.
