Aladdin Logo — Aladdin is an animated film from Walt Disney Pictures, released on November 25th of 1992. The story is based on the popular tale Arabian Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp, included in the collection The Thousand and One Nights, but also incorporates elements and characters from the movie The Thief of Bagdad, in 1940.
It was directed and produced by American John Musker and Ron Clements and written by them along with screenwriters Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio. The musical scores were written by composer Alan Menken, winner of several Academy Awards for Best Score and Best Song, while the letters addressed Howard Ashman and Tim Rice. It is the thirty-first animated feature Disney Company and the sixth classic story has been adapted.
The plot tells the story of Aladdin, a poor young man who, with his monkey Abu, is dedicated to steal and cheat people of the city of Agrabah to survive. Your luck will change to get an old lamp from the depths of the Cave of Wonders, in which dwells a genie granted you three wishes, including becoming a prince to Jasmine, daughter of the Sultan and that has love, to notice him.
