Alpinestars Logo — Alpinestars is an Italian manufacturer of technical equipment safety for motorcycle and auto racing (MotoGP, Motocross, Formula One and NASCAR), as well as extreme sports. Was founded in 1963 by Sante Mazzarolo in Asolo (TV). The company takes its name from the English translation of the Italian word “edelweiss”.

Founded in 1963 by Sante Mazzarolo in Asolo (TV), in Veneto, the company began to make shoes for hiking and ski boots, but soon began to produce boots for the first races of motocross. In 1990, the company has branched out into manufacturing all types of protective clothing and techniques ranging from gloves and jackets, leather suits for motorcycling. Until 1996 he sold mountain bikes marked Alpinestars. Today it has offices in Los Angeles and Tokyo, while the headquarters, research laboratories and major development labs remain in Northern Italy.
The company is now led by Sante’s son, Gabriel Mazzarolo.
