Angry Birds Logo — Angry Birds is a game created in 2009 by the company Finnish Rovio Mobile. Since then, the game has been adapted to devices touch screen, such as those based on Maemo, IOS, Symbian, Java and Android. With over 12 million downloads in 2010, this application may be the most popular of the year in the App Store from Apple. Addition is also the best selling game in history in mobile media.
Currently the company is working on developing versions for PC, Xbox360, PS3, HTML5 and other platforms. However, Angry birds is not just a digital phenomenon: the characters are so popular that the company is beginning to market physical toy birds and will market ahead costumes, cartoons and all kinds of merchandising.
There is an alternate version of Angry Birds, “Angry Birds Seasons”, where the levels are more focused on important dates of the year as Valentine’s Day and Christmas. Rovio also launched in March 2011 a special edition of the game, called “Angry Birds Rio” as the reason for the animated advertising River. Rovio recently created an edition (beta) completely free and in high definition of Angry Birds as a unique application for Google Chrome.
In Angry Birds the player takes control of a flock of birds in their mission to recover their nest eggs stolen by a herd of pigs.
