New York Jets Logo — The New York Jets are a team of football playing in the National Football League (NFL). Until January 2010 played at Giants Stadium. Since August of that year played at the new stadium MetLife Stadium. Both stadiums are in the state of New Jersey.
The Jets were founded in 1960 and entered under the name New York Titans in the American Football League. It was in 1962 when they changed their name to the present. They won the Super Bowl III on January 12 of 1969, beating the Baltimore Colts 16-7. The match is remembered because even though the Colts were considered heavy favorites to win the quarterback in New York, Joe Namath, guaranteed days before the meeting that his team would win. Namath was voted NFL MVP for that game. They have not played a Super Bowl since their participation.

He was selected by New York in the 2009 draft as the fifth overall pick, Sanchez only played 3 years in college but decided to declare eligible the same year. He played college for the USC Trojans. In his last season guided the Trojans to win the Rose Bowl, 2009, was chosen as most valuable offensive player. In 2009, the Jets finished with a 9-7 record in second place in the AL East but made it to the playoffs for the first time in three years.
