In Dallas, the team suffered a lack of interest by the public which was reflected in the poor attendance to the pavilion for parties. In fact, during the season 1970 — 71, the name “Dallas” was abolished in favor of “Texas “in an attempt to make the team a regional one, playing games in the Tarrant County Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas, and in the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum in Lubbock, Texas. But the experiment did not work and the team returned to Dallas for the season 1971 — 72, playing their games at Moody Coliseum and Dallas Convention Center Arena.
