TSA Stores Inc., also known as The Sports Authority, is a sporting goods chain that started in Florida in the late 1980’s. It is now based out of Englewood Colorado after the company merged in 2003 with Gart Sports, Sportmart and Oshman’s. The company was listed publicly for a number of years but due to a leveraged buyout in 2006 the company is now listed privately and no longer reports to the SEC.
Sports Authority started a new brand in 2010 called “S.A. Elite” which has a smaller footprint and caters to higher end sports apparel and accessories. The company has also solidified it’s brand in the Colorado region by purchasing the naming rights to the previously named Mile High Stadium where the Denver Broncos play their home games.
TSA operates stores that are very bright, clean and bold. Their simple, classic logo matches their company image. It uses bright bold colors and is very distinguishable even from a long distance. You can download the Sports Authority wallpaper below as well as see an alternative version of the logo.
