Warner Bros Logo — Warner Brothers Entertainment, Inc. is one of the largest producers of film and television worldwide. He is currently a subsidiary of conglomerate Time Warner based in Burbank, California, United States. Warner Bros. includes several subsidiary companies, including Warner Bros. Studios, Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Warner Bros. Television, Warner Bros. Animation, Warner Home Video, New Line Cinema, Castle Rock Entertainment, Turner Entertainment, Dark Castle Entertainment, DC Comics, and the remnants of Hanna-Barbera Productions, Inc., although the former studio of Hanna-Barbera is now known as Cartoon Network Studios and is under the Turner Broadcasting.
The corporate name is because the four founding Warner brothers, Harry Warner (1881-1958), Albert Warner (1883-1967), Sam Warner (1887-1927) and Jack Warner (1892-1978), hence the name : Warner Bros., which means Warner Brothers in English. In 1903, Harry Warner, the eldest, entered the film business with a small movie theater to exhibit films in the mining towns of Pennsylvania and Ohio. His brothers soon joined the business and, with Harry, opened their first room called “The Cascade” in New Castle, Pennsylvania. More
