Planet Hollywood Logo — Planet Hollywood is a chain of theme restaurants on the stars, movies and the glitter of Hollywood, often with a shop selling clothes and other memorabilia, launched in 1991 by Robert Earl, Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone. Its head office is based in the suburbs of Orlando (Universal Studios behind). For several years he was in a building of Walt Disney World Resort, which served before the opening (1971) for presentation of the complex, always visible.
The company is positioned for many years under the protection of Chapter 11 of U.S. trade, corporate bankruptcy. Since the late 1990s, many restaurants have closed. In February 1998, the Company obtained a lease from the Walt Disney Company for All-Star Cafe at Disney’s Wide World of Sports in Florida. In March 2000, Disney took the license.
Since 2004, new projects emerge, however, as a restaurant in Bollywood and four others across the India or the Hotel Aladdin Resort and Casino in Las Vegas gets a new theme from 2006. Because of a default, the Japanese subsidiary ceased operations on 13 April 2009.
