ACDSee Logo — ACDSee software is a shareware for image viewing for Microsoft Windows, developed by ACD Systems. The latest version, released in 2008 but called “2009”, is number 11. ACDSee Pro version exists. The version currently available is 2.5. Its main advantage with respect to the normal version is the ability to process images RAW.
In addition to the view previews and format conversion of images, ACDSee offers scrolling as slides, the CD / DVD, generating an HTML gallery, directory synchronization of images and editing meta data such that Exif. It is also possible to perform simple operations such as image color processing, removing red eye or use the stamp tool. ACDSee supports the Unicode since version 2009.
Since version 7 software, the license agreement contains a section prohibiting the viewing of pornographic images, which created a controversy.
