Cartier Logo — Cartier SA is a factory French of watches and jewelry, founded in 1847 by Louis-Francois Cartier, belonging to the Swiss luxury goods Richemont. Cartier is a watch manufacturer, as many of their watches have their own billing mechanisms. The corporation carries the name of the Cartier family of jewelers whose control ended in 1964 — who were known to create several famous pieces, including diamond necklace “Bestiary”, made in the year 1920 for the Maharaja Indian Yadavindra Singh- a and the first wristwatch handy, the “Saints” in 1904. The company has served a long list of celebrities and characters from the royalty, in fact, one of the Princes of Wales Cartier referred to as “the jeweler of kings, the king of jewelers”. Cartier was founded in Paris in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier when he took over the workshop of his master. In 1874, his son Alfred Cartier began managing the company, but the three children, Louis, Pierre and Jacques, were responsible for establishing the Cartier brand worldwide. In 1904, the Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont told his friend Louis Cartier was impractical using pocket watches while flying. Cartier took the challenge and designed a wristwatch with a distinctive flat square bezel. This garment was not only a hit with Santos Dumont, but also with Cartier’s many clients. Louis retained responsibility for the Parisian brand, moving to the Rue de la Paix in 1899. He was responsible for some of the most celebrated designs of the company, as the “Mystery Clock”-a clock with a transparent sphere, so called because its mechanism was hidden, and elegant watches and exotic designs Art Deco, including Jewelry colorful “Tutti Frutti.” In 1907, Cartier signed a contract with Edmond Jaeger, who agreed with the exclusive supplier of watch movements Cartier.
