Dogpile Logo — Dogpile is a metasearch engine of Internet searches from returning engines About , Ask.com , FinWhat , Google , LookSmart , MSN Search , Teoma , Yahoo! , Bing and other popular search engines, including audio and video. Dogpile began in November 1996 , being part of the network Go2Net in 1999 , which was acquired by InfoSpace , a company that also owned Metacrawler , Webcrawler and Excite .
In 2005 , Dogpile released a study about each search engine returns results. The study showed that there is a 3% redundancy between Google, Yahoo and Ask Jeeves. 85% of the results were unique to one of the search engines.
