H&M Logo — H&M is a chain Swedish store clothing, accessories and cosmetics to stores in Europe, North America, Middle East, Africa and Asia. There are a total of 2300 spread its own stores in 44 countries and employs approximately 76,000 people. It also sells clothing by catalog and Internet in certain countries. H&M is the second largest textile group in Europe in sales. In 1998, H & M was able to buy the Internet domain HM.com. Apart from Calvin Klein CK.com, H&M is the only company in the fashion that some of the “Internet VB.com Hall of Fame” with an Internet address with only 2 letters.
H&M was founded in 1947 in Västerås (Sweden), where Erling Persson, founder, interested in selling fashion at low prices, opened a small clothing store woman he called Hennes (Swedish “for her”). A few years later built a small store called Mauritz Widforss items for men, born and Hennes & Mauritz, which later became known by the initials H&M.
During the decades of the 60, the 70 and 80 were opened the first H&M stores in Denmark, Norway, Germany and United Kingdom. In the nineties began a strong period of expansion, opening its first stores in France and growing in their former markets. In 2000 H&M made its market entry into Spanish and American. The first store in the Russian market opened in 2009 in Moscow. In 2010, H&M opened its first stores in South Korea, Israel and Turkey.
