Konica Minolta Logo — Konica Minolta Holdings, Inc. is a multinational Japanese manufacturer of office equipment ( photocopiers , faxes , printers ) and medical equipment and other products. Its headquarters are located in the business district ofTokyo , and has subsidiaries in Spain and other countries like Germany, USA, Canada, UK and Australia.
Konica Minolta was born in 2003 by the merger of two former companies: Konica and Minolta , whose history dates back to 1873, when he began to make photographic materials in Japan . In fact, both companies were known for their contributions to the history of photography , with advances such as manual focusing in the 60’s, the auto-focus SLR (sold under the name Minolta Dynax in Europe) and digital SLR cameras in the 90s of last century.
The business unit photography and the production line of DSLR was also sold to the Japanese Sony in 2006 to create the range Sony Alpha .Gradually, Konica Minolta left the photographic sector to focus on its other production areas, ranging from printing and copying equipment to business services and consultancy or solutions and business management software.
