Levante UD Logo — The Levante Unión Deportiva (also called Llevant Unió Esportiva in Valencian) is a club football in Spain. In 1909 it founded the Royal Gymnastic Club Football and Football Club Levante, coinciding with the founding of Valencia Football Federation. The two merged in 1939 with the name of East-Gymnastics Sports Union and renamed Levante Unión Deportiva in 1941. The team is named after the east wind, the wind from the east to enter the city of Valencia on the beach where it was located your playing field in the early twentieth century.
