Minnesota Timberwolves Logo — Minnesota Timberwolves (Grey Wolves of Minnesota) is a team of basketball played in the NBA, and is headquartered in Minneapolis, part of the state of Minnesota. They entered the league after the expansion of 1989. Previously, the city had been home to the legendary Minneapolis Lakers, currently in Los Angeles.
The professional basketball back to Minneapolis in 1987, when the NBA granted one of two new franchises (along with Orlando Magic) to the original owners Marv Wolfenson and Harvey Ratner to begin play in the 1989-90 season. Known as the Timberwolves, the team debuted on November 3 of 1989 losing to Seattle SuperSonics by 106-94. More
