Altec Lansing Logo — Altec Lansing Technologies, Inc.. is a manufacturer of enclosures and related components. It provides manufacturers of computers like Dell, HP and Asus. Altec Lansing’s story begins in 1920 when, in 1927, released the first talkie The Jazz Singer. Western Electric creates, in 1928, Electric Research Products, Inc.. (Prentice Hall) to manufacture and install sound systems in movie theaters.
In the year 1930 by Prentice Hall becomes a separate company from Western Electric and then called All Technical Products Company (Altec). The 1st May 1941 Altec Industries buys Lansing, directed by James B. Lansing (see JBL), and form Altec Lansing Corporation. In 1948 Altec Lansing began producing its first réccepteurs AM / FM high fidelity.
In 1955, occurred the first Voice of the Theater for home use. In 1986, Altec Lansing set up his headquarters in Milford in Pennsylvania, and was released in 1990 the first speaker systems for computers. It will be a success since the company became the leader in this field. In 1996, Altec Lansing opens a factory in China, in Dongguan.
