Founded in Boston in 1871, the franchise moved to Milwaukee in 1953 before moving to Atlanta in 1966. Atlanta is the only franchise in MLB to win the title in three different cities: Boston (1914), Milwaukee (1957) and Atlanta (1995).
During the 2010 season, the Braves finish in second place in the Eastern Division of the National League with 91 victories against 71 defeats and qualify as best runner for the post-season series. On 15 July 2011, the Braves became the third franchise in baseball history to win major victories 10000, joining the Giants and Cubs.
