Kymco Logo — Kwang Yang Motor Company (KYMCO), is the leading brand of motorcycles in Taiwan. It is located in the port city Kaohsiung in the south of the island of Taiwan but also has five factories in China and one in Indonesia. It has full manufacturing of engines, chassis, components, assembly, warehousing and distribution.

This Taiwanese company was founded in 1963 to make parts for Honda. The company built its first complete scooter in 1970 and began marketing under the “Kymco” brand name in 1992. Kymco’s head office and main factory are located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The company has approximately 7000 1 employees and produces over 480 000 vehicles a year. The company has production facilities overseas in Jakarta (Indonesia), Shanghai, Changsha and Chengdu (China).

The brand is mainly directed to the manufacture of scooters (from motorcycles to 500 cc), very popular in eastern countries, but also manufactures other types of motorcycles, and in Spain also distributes motorcycle type scooter custom (up to 250 cc) and quads (up to 500 cc).
