Lipton Logo — Lipton is one brand of tea sold most famous and the world. The company is part of PepsiCo / Unilever who sells about 15% of global tea, including other brands like PG Tips (United Kingdom), Beseda (Russia), Brooke Bond (India), UNITEA (Province Meridian), Sariwangi (Indonesia).
Lipton was founded in the late nineteenth century by the merchant and entrepreneur Scot Sir Thomas Lipton. Under the slogan “directly from the tea fields to the kettle,” the businessman wanted to popularize tea as a drink of high quality and reasonably priced, available to all.
During these 100 years, Lipton has become the largest tea brand in the world. It attributes its success to its strong focus on innovation and the expertise of specialists in tea — professional teams of parenting, tasting, blending and research. The teas are selected from different plantations in countries like India, Indonesia, Kenya, Sri Lanka or the Meridian Province. For example, Lipton Yellow Label is obtained from the mixture of more than 30 different teas, from 7 regional centers dispersed throughout the world.
