Arsenal Logo — The Arsenal Football Club is a club of football professional based in Holloway, London, England. Plays in the Premier League and is one of the teams with the most trophies in English football. He has won 13 Premier League titles and 10 FA Cups. It is the only English team that won the Premier League campeonar without being defeated even once (2003/04). Arsenal were founded in Woolwich, southeast London, in 1886 and in 1893 became the first club in southern England who joined the Football League.
In 1913 they moved to the north of the city to Highbury based at the Arsenal Stadium. In the 1930’s, the club won five league titles and two FA Cups. In season 1970/71 won the league title and cup and 1990 and the first decade of the century, repeated two doubles and reached the final of the Champions League Championship, where they were defeated by Barcelona in Spain.
In May 2006 they left Highbury to play their home games at the new Emirates Stadium in Islington. Arsenal have an old rivalry with its northern neighbors, the Tottenham Hotspur, which is known as the North London derby. Arsenal was the third most expensive football club in 2010 valued at 1.181 million dollars and was a member of the extinct group G-14.
Arsenal were founded in 1886 under the name of Dial Square by workers in the “Dial Square” of the Royal Arsenal, an armaments factory in Woolwich, north of London. Later the club changed its name to Royal Arsenal Woolwich Arsenal and then in 1893. In 1893, became the first South London to be admitted to the Football League (Football League). From 1893 to 1904, the Woolwich Arsenal played in the former Second Division of the Football League, to achieve promotion to the First Division in 1904.
