DKNY Logo — DKNY (Donna Karan New York) is the brand of clothing designer of the U.S. Donna Karan. The DKNY was founded in 1985 in New York by Donna Karan and her late husband Stepehen Weiss. The goal of the designer was to create a brand that combines the comfort of ‘sportswear (Karan, came from the experience of Anne Klein, well known brand of sportswear), the elegance of the pret-a-porter, while being placed in a mid-price range.

By the time the production of the brand has expanded, covering many areas of the world of fashion, producing accessories, underwear, shoes, clothing for the ‘childhood, and producing clothing lines for men.

The first shops were opened in DKNY London in 1997 and New York in 1999. Currently, approximately seventy contatno DKNY stores worldwide, including twenty centers in China, two in Canada and four in Dubai. Since 2005 also DKNY also operates through the Internet, through the official website of the brand. In 2001 the brand was bought by LVMH.
